Chin Enhancement

Chin enhancement is one of the fasting growing and most popular areas we inject with dermal fillers.  Up to 3 to 4 mL of dermal filler may be required to give ultimate results however this is done in a gradual process and results are visible even with 1 to 2 mL of filler.  Correcting chin deficiencies can have an amazing effect on facial aesthetics, changing the shape of the face bringing it into harmony and even improving the appearance of the lips.

The most popular options for chin enhancement are chin lengthening and chin definition.

Chins can be lengthened to give a longer appearance to the face.  This is particularly popular amongst those with round faces who which is achieve a more aesthetically pleasing oval appearance of their face.

Chin volume can also be increased and defined with dermal fillers.  This is an excellent non-surgical option for those those with a “weak” chin which can occur due to underlying bone structure and dentition.  While surgical chin implants can correct this problem as well, dermal fillers are a less invasive option that is easy to touch up and alter and does not involve the risks of surgery. Results last up to 24 months.

A small amount of wrinkle relaxer is sometimes added to achieve optimal chin results and reduces the orange peel appearance that the chin muscle can sometimes cause.

Cheek Enhancement

Good cheek volume is the cornerstone of a youthful face.  As we age and lose volume in our cheeks this not only makes out cheeks look saggy and sunken, it also contributes to the worsening appearance of many other facial features.  Cheek volume loss will contribute to deeper lower crow’s feet, deeper nasolabial folds and more prominent marionette lines.  The good news is that by re-volumising your cheeks you can also significantly improve all these areas as well as regain your youthful cheek volume.

For younger patients who wish to enhance and contour their cheekbones this treatment is also highly effective.

Results last up to 24 months and generally a minimum of 2 mL of filler is required for optimal results.

Downturned Mouth

Dermal fillers can help to improve the appearance of a downturned mouth also known as the the oral commissures or marionette lines.

These lines can result factors including age, genetics or over-active “grimace” muscles pulling the mouth downward. A downturned or sagging mouth often conveys sadness and a negative, tired and worn out look.

Dermal fillers can be used to treat this region leading to a more appealing positive appearance. Dermal fillers injected into this region correct and redirect the downward corners of the mouth providing more natural fullness to the lower face. The correction provides immediate improvement and a refreshed appearance usually lasting up to 12 months.

Jawline contouring

Jawlines are another area that gives away our age.  Younger individuals will have a smooth straight jawline but as we age the jawline starts to jowl.  The appearance of jowls can be corrected with dermal fillers and minor lifting can be achieved by injection into the pre-auricular area (the area in front of the ears that you pull on to give you the little lift you’d love!).

Jawline contouring is also popular among men who wish is achieve a more defined jaw and in women who feel their jaw is excessively weak.

Wrinkle relaxers can also be added to further enhance jawline appearance

Lip Enhancement

Full lips are a sought-after feature, given they are usually associated with youth and femininity. But not everyone is blessed with plump lips. Lips also tend to get thinner with age, partly due to accumulated sun exposure, genetics, smoking and the natural reduction of collagen.

Dermal Fillers are an excellent option for lip augmentation.  The filler acts as a lip plumper, adding fullness and definition to the lips and provides long lasting results (up to one year).

Vice are experts in providing lip augmentation treatments. If you are looking for full lips with amazing, natural results (not trout pouts!) we can assist you. We advise our patients to think about the shape, definition and volume of the lips they want to achieve. Photographs of lips you’d love to have are great to bring along to your consultation appointment as this can help communicate the result you are looking for.

Lips will tend to swell significantly on the day of treatment and may take 1 to 2 days to settle and bruising may occur which may take up to 4 days to resolve.

Smokers Lines

Smoker’s lines are the vertical lines that appear on your lip line. “Smoker lines” can actually appear whether you smoke or not. Smoking breaks down the production of collagen, which increases the appearance of wrinkles, so it’s good to avoid smoking altogether however it’s certainly not the only cause of these lines.  Underlying dentition structure, genetics, sun damage and excessive pursing of the lips can also contribute to these wrinkles. For the small, vertical lines above the upper lip, wrinkle fillers are a good treatment option. Our dermal fillers  have a smooth consistency, which works well to fill these lines and improve the appearance of the skin around the mouth.  Small doses of wrinkle relaxer in this area may further enhance the results
