DermaPen is the latest technology in medical grade skin needling treatments. It is safer and more effective than traditional skin needling rollers, because of its unique vertical needling technology.

Skin needling is known by various names including Dermarolling, Percutaneous Collagen Induction (PCI) and Collagen Induction Therapy.

Skin needling traditionally involves the use of manually applied skin rollers that have around 200 fine surgical steel needles attached to the roller mechanism. It’s applied directly to the skin in a crisscross motion. The objective is to stimulate or puncture the skin to stimulate collagen and elastin production, smooth skin and promote scar or stretch mark reduction through the skins natural wound healing process. For the medical grade level application of skin needling, the target of the needles and penetration is the upper dermis called the intermediate reticular dermis.

Traditional skin needling can have significant downtime and pain associated with the treatment. In contrast Dermapen’s unique vertical needling technology results in medical grade needling with a superior effect on collagen and elastin rejuvenation but dramatically less downtime and discomfort.

The results are similar to Fraxel treatments, laser resurfacing, and deep chemical peels, but without the side effects, pain or downtime.
Dermapen utilises a sterile single use surgical grade needle tip ensuring sterility and patient safety. Its depth and speed can be adjusted for individual patients skin types and conditions.

Dermapen treatments can produce long-lasting results for the following indications · Skin tightening, natural collagen induction, lifting & rejuvenation · Acne scarring · Wrinkles and fine lines · Open pore minimisation · Stretch marks.
