Cosmelan is an effective cosmetic depigmentation method that is 95% effective for epidermal (superficial) pigmentation. Cosmelan is the world’s leading de-pigmentation treatment and is suitable for all skin colours.
The Cosmelan method inhibits the formation of melanin and triggers progressive flaking of the skin decreasing pre-existing melanin deposits to remove or lighten dark patches on the skin.
Cosmelan acts on those cells that are responsible for skin pigmentation by controlling pigment production in those areas that are currently over producing pigment.
Additionally the Cosmelan method also brightens and unifies skin tone and regulates sebum production.
The Cosmelan method uses a combination of active ingredients to treat hyperpigmentation

The Cosmelan Process
Initially you will need a skin consultation to evaluate your suitability for the Cosmelan Method. The treatment is applied by our registered nurse Naomi Hough to ensure maximum safety and efficacy.
Firstly your face is cleansed and toned with the Mesoestetic Hydramilk Cleanser and Hydratonic and then degreased with Cosmelan exfoliating solution.
The Cosmelan 1 depigmentation mask is then applied. The mask is left on the skin as you leave the clinic and then remains on for a period of 8 to 12 hours depending on your skin type.
After the advised time period the patient then washes the mask off with water.
The second part of the Cosmelan Method then begins with your homecare products. Cosmelan 2 Maintenance cream is your home care maintenance cream with de-pigmenting active substances. For the first 15 days post the Cosmelan 1 mask the maintenance cream must be applied 3 times a day, for the next 15 days twice a day, then for the next 2 months once a day at night.
Three months supply of home care products specific to your Cosmelan treatment is included in your package.
